Happy Friendship Day!

Happy Friendship Day to you, readers! Today we celebrate our chosen family and recognize that bonds can be deep without blood relations. I feel incredibly lucky in friendship. My friends are my emotional support, the ones I can rely on during my toughest times.

Most of my friendships formed when I wasn’t actively looking for friends. As an introvert, it’s challenging for me to make friends quickly. One of my friends once said they were intimidated by my mysterious aura! Now, we laugh about it because first impressions can be deceiving. Despite the effortlessness of my friendships (touchwood!), they’ve also been tested at times. I’m proud that most of my friendships have survived those tests. Even if some didn’t, I don’t regret the cherished memories.

One of the best qualities a friend should have is the ability to understand and respect your decisions. Throughout my life, there were many times I faltered or questioned if I was on the right path. My friends always stood by me, saying, “We are with you no matter what the outcome is!” They are like family to me, now you know why!

I used to be a very closed-off person and hated being the center of attention. I rarely shared my thoughts and feelings with people. However, now I share almost everything with my friends. That’s the beauty of friendships. With the right people, you glow, and I’ve been able to glow because of my friends, my backbone.

One thing I believe we should all follow is maintaining healthy communication and spending time doing fun activities together. We get so caught up in our daily lives and other relationships that we often forget to cherish our hug buddy and shoulder to cry on.

So, that was a long post on this very special day! Do you have any special moments in your friendships? I would love to read your stories! You can mention them in the comments below or DM me your stories on Instagram, and I will create a story from them and post it on this blog!

Happy Friendship Day once again!

  1. Not a just a moment Moumishra I have a short story of a long life I would like to share.

I had a very special friend, met him when was in 5th class… within a week our bond grew, we together shared an amazing humour level .Whole period passed like an hour with him.Who knew it would come to an end within a year,he left the school suddenly.I had no contacts further and slowly slowly as the days passed everything turned so boring,I used to feel degraded inside..Months passed again,a random day it was,I came late in classroom and the moment I sat I saw him smiling from the from the front desk.I just couldn’t control my tears and hugged him in front of whole class. That Day It was a surprise science test too, being the topper of class first time I failed in a test but I was rejoiced and so my teacher was for me.Today he had called me and wished.I felt so happy that he was the only friend who wished me today first,it was like a medal for me.

I do have lot of friends, some love to celebrate the bond and some celebrate without showing but I really feel that we have very less time in world and we shouldn’t be afraid of expressing ourselves.

Thanks for your time and yes a request that I really enjoyed listening your podcast on ‘destiny'(hope it was yours 😂) and would love it if you continue that.

    1. That was such a beautiful story! You have been blessed with a beautiful bond and I hope you get to cherish it life-long. As for the podcast, it’s been 2 years since I recorded one, and I really didn’t have any motivation to continue it. I am curious though. How did you find it?
